The Human Resources track of the graduate Organizational Leadership program prepares professionals to develop and implement HR planning, recruiting, training and compensation as well as benefits and performance management. It prepares students to pass the Professional and Senior Professional in Human Resources examinations. The program is aligned with the SHRA HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates. It is a 36-hour program and students attending full-time can complete the program in four semesters. All classes are taught in the evening and it can be adapted for students who wish to attend part-time.

The College of Business Administration cultivates an academic environment that promotes individual growth and a global mindset while encouraging lifelong learning among students. Langdale College of Business Administration

The Langdale College of Business Administration is named for Harley Langdale Jr., who was the oldest living forester when he died at 98 years of age in 2013. He was the oldest child of Judge Harley and Thalia Lee and the family was already well known in the forestry industry before he was born. In the mid-1930s, Mr. Langdale was one of the first registered foresters in the state of Georgia, assigned the number “3” when the forestry registry began in the 1950s. He was a longtime trustee of Valdosta University, which named their College of Business Administration in his honor. Today, Langdale College offers students a challenging curriculum and real-life learning experiences that prepare students for careers in the business world. Students work closely with a world-class faculty and are able to gain international experience through study abroad and service learning opportunities. Students build a network of colleagues at Langdale that last them throughout their careers.

Management

The Langdale College of Business Administration offers a degree in Management at the undergraduate level that provides students with the skills necessary to succeed in many different industries. The program focuses on motivating people and providing them with the skills they will need in a growing global business environment. Students may choose a minor in Human Resources Management. In order to complete the degree with the minor, students must take the following classes in addition to those required for the major in management, students must also take four required courses and two electives related to the human service industry.
