BELLEVUE UNIVERSITY

Bellevue College of Business has an extensive set of offerings in the field of human resources. The campus also has a student chapter of the SHRM, the SHRM- Bellevue University #5265. Designed to provide a foundation for management in a global business environment, the program also prepares students for the Professional in Human Resource (PHR) Certification examination.

The Management of Human Resources degree emphasizes human capital. It enables skillful human resource planning and analysis; the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity compliance; staffing and human resource development. It focuses on dynamic such as issues in compensation, competitive benefits, and labor-management relations.

Bellevue University offers the following human resources degrees: Bachelor of Science in Management of Human Resources, a graduate degree, Master of Science in Human Resources Strategic Management Degree, and a Doctorate in Human Capital Management (PHD). The MBA is a related degree since it offers a focus in human capital development and management. The Bachelor of Science in Management of Human Resources is available online, part-time, and in accelerated and cohort formats.

CREIGHTON UNIVERSITY

The Creighton Association for Human Resources is the student chapter of the SHRM. It is a campus organization, across all lines of enrollment, for students interested in the area of human resources. The activities and benefits include tours of local companies and opportunities to follow professionals at work. The program provides work environment experiences on interviewing, and writing effective résumés. It enables students to network with and contact prospective employers through the CAHR relationship with the Human Resource Association for the Midlands. CAHR members compete for professional HR certification exam scholarships.

DOANE COLLEGE

The SHRM student chapter at Doane College is the Human Resource Club. This student chapter serves an valuable function by organizing informational activities to encourage education and achievement in the field of Human Resources Management. The Doane College Human Resource Club introduces students to workplace environments and issues in human capital management and labor relations. The human resources program at Nebraska Methodist college consists of course offerings in human resources management, which are part of the BS in Healthcare Management and Master of Science in Health Promotion Management. Students focus on the critical role of human resources management in providing effective levels of service to patients. The programs prepare students for positions of leadership in various healthcare organizational structures.

There is an affiliated student chapter (#5411) of the Society for Human Resources Management at Nebraska Methodist College. The student chapter of the SHRM at Nebraska Wesleyan College adds to the educational experience.
