Ottawa University – Kansas City

As a private residential institution founded in the American Baptist traditions to provide a student-centered and Christ-inspired education for its more than 5,000 students, Ottawa City in Kansas City is currently ranked as the 56th best college in the Midwest by the U.S. News and World Report. Within the Angell Snyder School of Business, students have the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources, Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources, Bachelor of Arts in Management with a Human Resources concentration, Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources, or a Master of Arts in Human Resources. South Central Kansas Student SHRM Chapter

Unaffiliated with any certain individual universities, the South Central Kansas Student SHRM Chapter was recently established to serve students that attend schools in HR-related programs within Cowley and Sumner Counties in Kansas as well as Kay County across the neighboring southern border with Oklahoma. With no local dues, the chapter invites any national student members of the SHRM to participate in the variety of informational programs and networking opportunities alongside human resource professionals in the region. Combined with monthly meetings to network with fellow student colleagues, members are invited to join the Employment Law and Legislative Conference, SHRM Talent Management Conference, and SHRM Annual Conference and Exposition. For HR students at all levels, the chapter provides professional development and continued support in human resources for budding career success.

Southwestern College

Washburn University
